Yes I FINALLY (well hopefully) get to see the amazing woman I attempted to make a fansite for. lol. I'll post a review when I get back!

Well, of course just my luck, I never got to meet Christina. Sad

however, she was AMAZING during the show. I suppose I'll just write her a letter. Because initially, my plan was to tell her about this site at the stage door but I guess I'll just have to write her a letter.

Ok, here's the first act. Just so y'all know this is my first real review so be nice if you have any questions or want more detail or somethin just ask.

Before the show:
Well, the reason I got to go was because it was my birthday (well the closest show to my birthday anyway) so I was also able to convince my dad to let me bring some of my friends that have been wanting to see Wicked for a very long time. So we spent an hour and a half in the car, being crazy. Nobody was really very excited till we saw the first "Lansing" sign. lol from then on it was pretty crazy. We finally go there, I got yelled at for having a camera, found our seats (the second row from the very back of the balcony lol) and got ready.

Ok onto the show:

Act 1:
NOMTW: I could tell from the moment the ensamble opened their mouths that they were one of the best ensambles i've seen. So then Christina came down in her bubble. There was no entrance applause. Her voice was absolutely GORGEOUS!!! They had some mic troubles (fizzing then suddenly when the green elixer dude came in his mic wasn't working, luckily I have the song memorized anyway lol) but other than that it was very impressive.

DOS: Coleen made her grand entrance to no applause (well other than my small little group haha) I like the new blocking and how elphaba gets to sing too. It was also pretty funny because one of the guy ensamble members backed away from Elphaba so fast he tripped over a suit case and fell. It was kinda funny. Christina was pretty late. Maybe she was reading Harry Potter backstage...(lol j/k). I absolutely LOVE Barbara as Madame Morrible.

W&I: Well, I must admit, I thought we were seeing Victoria so I had only heard Victoria's voice before but never Coleen. So I didn't know what to expect. But the second she opened her mouth my spine was tingling, my jaw was dropping, she was pretty much amazing!! Personally I think her voice is very good for Elphaba, as most people say she's "Nasally" but I think that there is a quality that makes her voice sound more like the wicked witch of the west. If that makes any sense lol. But yeah, this song was awesome!!

WITF?: Christina was HYSTERICAL!!!!! Her "Unusually and excedingly peculiar and all together quite impossible to describe." was SOOOOOOO funny!!! She made it last REALLY long. Then Coleen waited forever before saying "Blonde" but when she did say it, it sounded very matter-of-fact-ly if ya know what I mean. Also, Coleen's Galinda mocking was hilarious!! She got her arm waving in the air and her butt was shaking faster than I've seen before. Their voices blend beautifully. The "boo!" "AHH" was really fast but funny.

SB: Eh, it was good, Tom's "BaaaAAAAAaaaaa" was very...goat-like.

DTL: Clifton. Is. So. HOT!!!! OMG!!!!!!!! I love the new part in the very beginning about the cart and "Oh, I though green ment go." it was very funny. Christina, once again, adorable. She is SOOOO hyper and jumpy, I got tired just watching her lol. I LOVE the new blocking!!! It is awesome!!! The dancing was really good!! But my favorite part of the song was the Elphie dance. Coleen was really jerky and very awkward. And when Christina came in it was so heart warming. Through my binoculars I could see the expression on her face and she looked very sincere and very like she was trying to tell Elphaba "It's ok, I wanna be your friend, I don't care about the green or what anyone else thinks, I just wanna be your friend" without saying anything. Amazing song!

Popular: Now, IMO this was one of the highlights of the show. Christina was CRAZY!!!! I still don't know how she moves her legs so fast without breaking something lol. Pretty much my friends and I were laughing hysterically throughout the whole thing. She got SOOOO mad at the wand after the "ballgown" part. It was funny she was like trying to bend it and she was growling at it and mumbling really loudly. And the "toss toss"'s were soooooo spaztic. Christina was hysterically (I'm running out of adjictives!! lol) then there was Coleen who was just kinda eating her hair. It was great.

INTG: Coleen was AMAZING! in this song. She sang it just beautifully however, she cracked pretty badly on the last note but actually my friends and I decided later that when actresses crack on the note it makes it more..."realistic" I guess cause then it actually sounds like she was crying and hurt. So it was very very good.

OSD: Oh the green-ness!!!! lol. Personally, I really like this song is very fun and kinda laid back. Christina and Coleen were both running a little late but that's ok. The ensamble is just amazing!!! Christina and Coleen are so great together. Those guys that come out during "Wiz-O-Mania" are very creepy to me. lol.

SM: eh, the song is good. We had Christopher Russo on for PJ and he was pretty good. This song is alway quite boring to me but I always think the monkeys are cool lol.

DG: Um.....WOW. Coleen is pretty much amazing!!! Her voice is so strong and powerful. again her and Christina's voices blend sooooo nicely. Once she was in the air flying, there was no stopping the tingling sensations in the spine lol. I actually looked over at one of my friends and she was just sitting there with her mouth wide open and her hands were literally trembling. At one point it was soooo cute. Coleen reached out to Christina and Christina reached back and you could see them both straining to look eachother in the eye. The came the last note. OMG I think when the curtain went down, everybody was screaming "OXYGEN!!! GET ME OXYGEN!!!" she held that note FOREVER!!!! It was sooooooo, just awesome.

Ok Act 2 and stage door to come!!!!

So far sounds like it was a great show. Smile

Weird about the NOMTW problems with the mics. Same thing happened when I saw it down here. I thought it was just our location...sounds like they need to get those issues worked out!

Yeah I still don't know how she moves her legs that fast on the bed. Seems like she should pull a muscle or break a leg or something lol. But that would stink if that happened. Ok the rest up later!
